Cedega : Morrowind Installation
For : Cedaga / Mepis Linux By : je.saist Here we go with our second Windows game installation. Now we'll look at Morrowind.
System Components: Abit NF7-S 2.0 / AthlonXp 2500+ @ 3200+ / 1gig DDR 400mhz 2,2,2,5 / XFX Geforce 6600 GT Asus P5RD2-VM / Pentium4 630 @ 3.45ghz / 1gig DDR2 PC2 667 5, 5, 5, 15 / Sapphire x1800 XT Part 1 : Install | Part 2 : Configure We'll need to configure both Cedega and Morrowind itself, so lets get started. 27: Left Click on Properties at the top of Cedega. ![]() 28: Here we have our basic settings. ![]() 29: Left Click on Edit Settings. ![]() 30: These are the default settings when installing Morrowind. ![]() 31: First thing I am going to do is change the Winver to win2k After some testing, I found that like City of Heroes, win2k appears to result in a smoother experience. ![]() 32: Next, I am going to turn the TransGaming HUD on so I can check frame rate and memory. ![]() 33: Next I am going to Left Click on the tab labeled Graphics. ![]() 34: The Pixel Shader defaults as version 1.3. I haven't found any difference in image quality or performance between 1.3 and 1.4. ![]() 35: Okay, everything hopefully should be fine. Left Click on OK. ![]() 36: Left Click on OK. ![]() 37: Left Click on Play. ![]() 38: Here we go, our entrance screen. Don't be alarmed if you have texture corruption while mousing over the entrance screen. ![]() 39: Left Click on Options. ![]() 40: Here we see that our default resolution is set at 640 x 480. We can also set window and full screen modes, as well as pixel shader usage.
