Cedega 6.0 - Part 2

Install

This is a 3 part guide that covers installing Cedega 6, but also covers managing older Cedega engines. Now, why exactly would you want to install and use an older engine? We'll touch on that more in Part 3.


This guide presumes that you have subscribed to Cedega. If you are not a Cedega
Subscriber, this guide, and future Windows Games on Cedega guides will do you no good.


Part 1 - Obtain  |  Part 2 - Install  |  Part 3 - Old Engine

26: In our terminal type in the command apt-get install -f

Then hit enter on the keyboard.





27: Apt should ask if we want to continue.





28: Hit Y on the keyboard for yes.

Then hit enter on the keyboard.





29: Alright, from this point forth, apt will finish fixing our install.





30: We can go ahead and close the terminal.





31: And get on to actually opening Cedega up.





32: Keep in mind that Cedega is Licensed Software

Left Click on Accept to continue.





33: At this point we'll be at the Cedega Setup Wizard.

Left Click on Forward.





34: Cedega will now ask for the Username and Password to continue.





35: Once your username and password are entered, Left Click on Forward.





36: Cedega has found that there are are updates avaiable.

Left Click on Ok.





37: The first of many licence agreements, this one for the Microsoft fonts.

Left Click on Accept.





38: Depending on your connection, this might take a while.





39: And now for the next license, this one for the Mozilla Control Software.

Left Click on Accept to continue.





40: While waiting, the short version is that the MozControl package intercepts browser requests sent to Microsof Internet Explorer and routes them to FireFox.





41: The next license is for the Cedega engine itself.

Left Click on Accept to continue.





42: This download gives an ETA to when it will be finished.





43: Are we done? Left Click on OK to find out.





44: Another dialog letting us know package updates are complete.

Left Click on OK.





45: At this point Cedega will give a short overview of the system in use.

Left Click on Forward.

And... yes. That is the infamous Clevo D900T.






46: The next page will list various tests for what the system can do.





47: Left Click on Run Selected Tests





48: As each test completes, Cedega will note if the test was Passed.





49: All passed. Left Click on Forward.





50: and Left Click on Finish.
