Parts 3-4: These two parts cover actually configuring Cedega for use.

Alright, now that we have the Cedega Install file downloaded, we'll cover the install itself.

Since I have Firefox set to download to the desktop, Cedega-small_5.2.3_all.deb is there.

Left Click on the .deb file.

 Kpackage should now open up.

 Left Click on Install

A familiar screen to those who have read the Mepis3 series guides.

 Left Click on Install

Enter your /root password then Left Click on OK

On most Mepis Systems Cedega will not cleanly install, and we'll get some errors.

We'll need to go down to the Taskbar and find System.

Left Click on System to bring up the System Menu

Left Click on Terminal Program (Konsole)

In the Konsole type in su

yes, we'll be entering /root mode.

Enter your /root password, then hit enter on the keyboard.

 And now, welcome to /root.

Lets go ahead and run an apt-get update to make sure we have the latest files available.

Wait for the apt-get update to complete.

 There we go, update complete.

Type in clear then hit enter on the keyboard.

We should now have a clean Konsole.

Now we'll just type in apt-get install -f and hit enter on the keyboard.

After a few seconds apt will prompt with a download question.

type in Y for yes, then hit enter on the keyboard.

This part could take a while depending on your network connection.

When apt finishes, Cedega should already be installed.

So we can go ahead and Close the Konsole.

So, what would we see in Kpackage if Cedega did install correctly?

Lets find out. Left Click on Install (again).

If Cedega installs correctly on the first go, our terminal output will end with RESULT=0

Go ahead and Close out of Kpackage.

Go back to Part 1 and see how to obtain Cedega Again?
