OpenOffice File Loading
For : OpenOffice by : je.saist Part 1 showed the normal method for saving a file in a specific type under OpenOffice. With Part 2 we'll look into changing the default file type to save in. Over Part we'll look at the default font options. 14: To change the default file type, we'll need to Left Click on Tools at the top of OpenOffice. ![]() 15: Under Tools, Left Click on Options ![]() 16: If this is the first time you've entered OpenOffice, you'll see the User Data screen. ![]() 17: We'll be heading for Load/Save in the Left Hand Column ![]() 18: Left Clicking the Plus Sign (+) next to Load/Save will show the 4 selections underneath. ![]() 19: Left Click on General ![]() 20: Under General we can see that our Always Save As is set to OpenDocument Text ![]() 21: Left Clicking on OpenDocument Text reveals the drop down Menu selections. ![]() 22: Here I am going to select Microsoft Word 97/2000/XP with a Left Click ![]() 23: Now, Always save as shows the format Microsoft Word 97/2000/Xp ![]() 24: Another option in here of interest is this one: Warn when not saving in OpenDocument or Default Format ![]() 25: Checking off the Warn option will prevent OpenOffice from complaining when choosing another format to save a file in. ![]() I prefer selecting my file types, can I see Part 1 again?
