OpenOffice File Loading
For : OpenOffice by : je.saist In Part 1 we covered the typical file selection process used when selecting a different file format than OpenDocument. In Part 2 we looked at changing the default file type. Over Part 3 we will look at changing the default Font for OpenOffice, and seeing the changes in effect. 26: Changing the default font will require going to OpenOffice.org Writer. We can find Open Office.org Writer in the Left Hand menu. ![]() 27: Left Clicking the Plus Sign (+) next to Writer will show the 11 selections underneath. ![]() 28: We need to Left Click on Basic Fonts (Western) Here we can see that our default font is Nimbus Roman No9 L ![]() 29: Left Clicking the Down Arrow at the end of the font list will show a drop down menu ![]() 30: Here we can select our fonts. For me, I'm selecting Courier 10 Pitch. ![]() 31: Changing the Default font changins the List, caption, and index fonts. ![]() 32: Left Click on OK to Close the Options box. ![]() 33: I am going to go ahead and left click on the New icon in the upper left corner. ![]() 34: In our New page we can see that our default font is now set to Courier 10 Pitch. ![]() 35: Once again and I going to enter some text. ![]() 37: Left Clicking on Save again. ![]() 38: Again, OpenOffice has gone to the Home Folder, so I'm going back to Documents We can also see here that our Filter is set to Microsoft Word 97/2000/XP ![]() 39: Under documents we can see our previous file. Anyways, I am going to save the new one. ![]() 40: And there we go. Alright, you can close OpenOffice if you want. ![]() I missed the usual selection method, that's in Part 1 right?
