Kompozer Install

Over Part 1 we covered obtaining the Kompozer program. Over Part 3 we'll actually run the program. For now, in Part 2, we'll just extract the files.


12: As mentioned in Part 1, FireFox still saves to the desktop. And there it is. kompozer-077-i686.tgz

Open the Archive by Left Clicking





13: Ark is the default extraction utility in Mepis,





14: Left Click on Action at the top of Kompozer





15: Left Click on Extract





16: In the Destination Folder field, just type in your /home/username.

(e.g. if your username is Saist, type in /home/Saist.  If it's Warren, you would type in /home/Warren)

Make sure that Open Destination Folder after Extraction is Checked.





17: If the Open Destination Folder after Extraction command works, your /home/username folder should pop up.

Open the kompozer folder by Left Clicking.





18: I'mg going to go ahead and maximize the window.





19: There we go, Kompozer is downloaded and extracted.
