FrostWire Installation

This is another guide is a followup to the Gtk-Gnutella guide released a couple years ago. However, the subject of this guide is the Gnutella network client, FrostWire.

A word of note, this is a cheap guide. I haven't really tested the program, just swapped to a Virtual Desktop, set res to 800*600, and went at it. That results in a problem in Part 3.

Part 1 - Obtain  |  Part 2 - Kpackage  |  Part 3 - Configure


1: Starting in FireFox





2: In the address bar type in http://www.frostwire.com

(or, you know, just click on the link)





3: Wait for FrostWire.com to load.





4: Left Click on Download Now!!!





5: This will take us to the download page. Scroll Down the page.





6: I wish I had to guts to ask for donations like that... Putting a donations request sends me into a catatonic state.  Anyways, once you choose, your path, click on the link you want.





7: FrostWire's Download system correctly detected this is a .debian based system.





8: Hit okay for FireFox to save the file.




9: Since I still have FireFox saving to the desktop, I am going to go ahead and Show Desktop
