Kaffeine Install

For: Mepis Linux

by: je.saist

Like Amarok, Kaffeine is a popular media player for the Linux platform. While Kaffeine's music offerings are far less in-depth than Amarok, Kaffeine does support Video and DVD playback. It also, personally, is a better DVD player than KMPlayer. While Kaffeine has been included in previous Mepis Distributions it has been dropped from Mepis 6, presumably to save space on the CD release. Time to get Kaffeine back.

*note* This guide presumes that libmad0, libxine-extracodecs, w32codecs, and libdvdcss2 have been installed. Otherwise, Kaffeine will crash on use.
