we last left off with finding libxine-extracodecs, so lets jump right
back into getting Mepis ready for our multimedia purposes. 17: Right Click on libxine-extracodes ![]() 18: left click on Mark For Installation ![]() 19: We should again see the yellow arrow pointing right on libxine-extracodes ![]() 20: Left Click on Search one more time. ![]() 21: Same as before, clear the search field. ![]() 22: Type in libvisual and then Left Click on Search. ![]() 23: Again, we have several responses. ![]() 24: Right Click on libvisual-0.4-plugins *note* Make sure that Libvisual-0.4-0 is colored in green. If it isn't, add it to the list. ![]() 25: We know the drill by now. Left Click on Mark for installation ![]() 26: Yellow Arrow again. Why in the world would Warren remove the libraries from Mepis? According to the Mepis.org Docs section, it's due to licensing issues. I'm just going to stay out of the firefight on MP3 support. I'd rather everyone move to .ogg anyways, but that's just me. |
