For: Mepis Linux 6.0.4

by: je.saist

Nvidia-GLX, Nvidia's proprietary driver, offers high performance 3D acceleration for *nix users.

Currently Nvidia-Glx Supports the Following Graphics Adapters: Geforce FX, Geforce 6, Geforce 7Geforce 8, Geforce 6100, and Geforce 6150

If you have a graphics card that is a Riva TNT, TNT2, Geforce, Geforce 2, Geforce 3, Geforce 4, Nforce, Nforce 2, Nforce 3, or Nforce 4, you'll need to install nvidia-glx-legacy.

After installing the Nvidia-Glx Driver, Mepis may come back up to a black screen.
If this happens, follow this guide: DPKG-Reconfigure Xserver-Xorg
