For: Mepis Linux 6.0.4

by: je.saist

Nvidia-GLX, Nvidia's proprietary driver, offers high performance 3D acceleration for *nix users.

Nvidia-Glx-Legacy offers Support for the Following Graphics Adapters: Riva TNT, TNT2, Geforce, Geforce 2, Geforce 3, Geforce 4, Nforce, Nforce 2, Nforce 3, and Nforce 4.

If you have a graphics card that is a Geforce FX, Geforce 6, Geforce 7, Geforce 8, Geforce 6100, or Geforce 6150, then you should use the Nvidia-glx driver.

After installing the Nvidia-Glx Driver, Mepis may come back up to a black screen.
If this happens, follow this guide: DPKG-Reconfigure Xserver-Xorg
