The Mepis User Assistant allows users to repair file permissions, add new users, delete users, as well as synch the On-The-Go accounts. This guide covers deleting an established user account.

1: Starting at System with a Left Click

2: Move the mouse up to MEPIS

3: Then Left Click on MEPIS User Assistant

4: Enter the /root password and then Left Click on OK

5: The default MEPIS User Assistant page.

6: I've broken cadence here to bring up Konqueror set to the /home partition.

Here we can see our 3 current accounts. newuser  |  onthego |  (username)

7: Returning to the Mepis User Assistant, I've left Konqueror up in the background.

8: Left Click on the tab labeled Delete.

Left Click on none to activate the drop down menu.

9: In the Drop Down Menu, Left Click on the User Account you wish to Remove.

10: Here I have newuser selected.

11: Left Click on Apply.

12: Mepis will warn that the action is irreversible. Left Click on Yes.

13: It may take a few minutes, but eventually the User Assistant will return to the none setting.

We can see in the background that the newuser folder has dissapeared.

14: Focusing in on Konqueror shows newuser is gone.
