iPod Hardware Report

Proof Of Operation Video Capture

For: Playstation 3

by: je.saist

This is one of the proof of operation guides using an aquired video capture card.
For more information on the capture card and method, and why the picture
is so blurry and white washed, a hardware report is located here.

This guide features the iPod Nano 2nd Gen Curtesy of NCSoft.

1: The Playstation 3's native interface has a section explicitely for music.

Here we can see that this PS3 sees a memory stick, an SD card, and the iPod.

2: With the Usb Device (iPod) highlighted, press the Triangle-button to bring up the info screen.

3: Here, Information has been highlighted.

Pressing the X-button will show information about this device.

4: Here we can see that the PS3 detects 31 tracks, as well as the space on the iPod.

Btw, for reference, the tracks on there are a mix of Chrono Symphonic, and a few Liaison .wav files.

5: Unfortunantly... for some odd reason, despite seeing the tracks on the iPod...

Yes... none are actually playable...

6: So what happens when a supported track is found?

Well, the SD memory card has a couple of Liaison tracks in .mp3 format.

7: Here both of the files are seen.

8: This screenshot does absolutely no justice to the quality of Sony's visualizer.
