kgamma
For: Mepis 7 Beta 1 by: je.saist A bit of background is available here in the Wiki. This guide shows how to get Kgamma back.
1: So, where exactly is Kgamma usually at? In the screenshot below the KDE Control Center is opened up to Peripherals. ![]() 2: Under the Display section we find we have tabs for Size and Power Control. The Gamma and Color Control Tab, however, are missing. ![]() 3: So lets go ahead and drop back to the desktop and open up Synaptic. ![]() 4: Input the /root password, then Left Click on OK. ![]() 5: Wait for Synaptic to load... ![]() 6: Then Left Click on Search. ![]() 7: In the search box, enter the term kgamma Then left click on search. ![]() 8: Okay, there is the kgamma package. ![]() 9: Right Click on the package to bring up the Context Menu then Left Click on Mark for Installation. ![]() 10: Left Click on Mark again. ![]() 11: Left Click on Apply ![]() 12: Left Click on Apply. ![]() 13: while waiting... yes, the pictures are sort of screwed up in numbers. ![]() 14: Left Click on Close. ![]() 15: Now when the Display section is checked, there should be a third tab... ![]() 16: Which offers color controls. ![]() Take me back to the Guides. |
